The following is a transcript of an actual conversation I had with my doctor's office yesterday.
EE: Goeie morgen. Gister avond is mijn carbon monoxide alarm af gegaan. Ik vraag me af of ik misschien langs moet komen voor een controle.
Receptionist: Hoe voelt u zich?
EE: Ik voel me goed. Niks bijzonders.
Receptionist: Dan is het niet nodig dat u langs komt.
EE: OK, maar komen er soms bij jullie patiënten langs die carbon monoxide hebben ingeademd?
Receptionist: Wat is eigenlijk ‘carbon monoxide’?
