Vacation at Work

My theory that the holidays are the best time to go to work was confirmed once again today.

Over half my colleagues are out of the office, so there is next to nothing to do. In the morning, I sipped coffee and read articles in Financial Times Wealth magazine about how private investors are losing confidence in hedge funds.

At noon I went to lunch at a chinese restaurant with four of my colleagues. We were there for an hour and a half.

In the afternoon I actually had a bit of work to do. I had a meeting with a member of the press office, made phone calls to colleagues in the Philadelphia and Hong Kong offices, reviewed comments on two reports and uploaded them, and I also downloaded, printed and distributed another report.

I left the office an hour early for a hair dresser appointment.

So if today was relaxed, I can't wait to see how tomorrow - Christmas eve - will go. I can't imagine that the days I will actually have off could be better than this.
